Meet the Herd

  • Raven sashayed into my life many years ago. She was my first ever horse that was entirely my responsibility. I was terrified!

But we have grown together and bonded in such a special way over the years. She is the horse who mirrors me the most and kicks my butt to let go of old ways and to get into alignment.

In the work, Raven often shows up with the medicine of encouraging people onto their Soul’s path. She is continually asking people if they are ready to let go of their old story and embrace their Soul’s story about their life.

Raven is a powerhouse! She also embodies the divine feminine energies and helps us face our shadow.

  • Luna came as a young horse from auction and arrived at the farm, panicking, jumping fences, biting us, and not trusting anyone or anything. It was hard to watch how ungrounded and afraid she was after much obvious abuse in her past. She has taught me the most about patience and time for healing. She has shown me how much being heard and honoured in her choices, has helped her nervous system to heal on a deep level. In this healing, she has become soft and trusting of humans in a way that makes my heart melt. This is a medicine that she shares with others. She often will offer her back end to people as an invitation for them to trust (gently of course). Luna also shows up when action is called for and people are ready to really dive into their creative gifts and bring them to the world!

  • Venus (as she is known on the farm) came here to us after having 8 babies for humans to take. She came pretty shut down and sad. It took her awhile to really trust that she was staying here and that she was safe. She is now really stepping into her gifts and is the nurturing mama for people who come to the farm. She mirrors grief for people and they will often walk on the property, see her, and start to cry. The heart energy that she shares is so special. When people stand with Venus, they snuggle into her and surrender. Sometimes she loves to share breath which feels a lot like heaven to me.

  • Piper is our Spirit Horse now. He lived with us on the farm for 2 years. He arrived on the land and was instant friends with Raven and her protector. They were always together and deeply bonded. They would always stand close together physically and he would watch over her as she slept. Piper was a good friend to both horses and humans. People would often lay against him and cry during sessions. My youngest son loved him to bits as his first horse that he could feel really safe with. He was a good example of the balanced masculine energies. Many felt safe with him. We miss him every day.

  • Lily is head goat and she thinks she runs the whole farm! She and her goat friend, Amelia, show up to hold space and often help with healing on the physical level. She will sometimes stand against the legs or hips of people who have pain there. She also loves to be scratched.

  • Amelia is always ready for a scratch. She is a bit more shy than Lily, but super friendly. She likes to stalk the big dog and tease him by going up on her hind legs like she’s going to head butt him

  • Izzy is all heart. He is the sweetest big dog and loves to bound up to everyone in hopes of a butt scratch and some attention! He is always lean against people especially when they’re having a good cry…

  • Zen is the cutest wiener dog around! He also thinks that he is the leader of the whole farm. He pretends to eat hay with the horses and then barks at them when they chase him off. The nerve of the little guy!

  • Shasti means ‘Queen of the felines’ and she lives up to this title. She likes to lay in the sun and bring grounding to everyone. She’s pretty shy, though, so you might not see her when you’re visiting the farm.

  • Leo is one of the orange cat brothers. I always wanted a big orange barn cat and now I have two! They don’t live at the barn though. Leo’s favourite spot to sleep is snuggled up in our closets.

  • Ash is the other orange cat brother. He’s a smart one, this guy. He likes to open doors at the house. We always have to warn the house sitters when we’re away so the goats and horses don’t end up in the house when we’re away!

Gifts of any kind are greatly appreciated.
